[#PAW2023] Day 2 – De Gaulle Fleurance, Ifriqya Arbitration Forum and ICC Arbitration hosted a lively event gathering arbitration practitioners from all over the African continent as well as every lawyer interested in the progress of international arbitration in Africa.
Ifriqya Arbitration Forum is a project aiming to promote arbitration and ADR in North Africa and more generally to value the practice in Africa. The objective of Ifriqya is to facilitate access to arbitration by putting in place a platform centralizing a list of practitioners from the region, but also jurisprudence and doctrine that could be insightful for every practitioner.
The organizers of the event, Samantha Nataf, Sami Houerbi and Diamana Diawara thought of a groundbreaking speed networking idea by encouraging the guests to exchange with each other for a few minutes.
Moving from one discussion to another, practitioners from different parts of the world made new connections and got the chance to share their thoughts about the challenges and future of arbitration in Africa.
A friendly and multicultural atmosphere reigned in the room and everyone enjoyed an insightful and dynamic moment.
