1.1 Ifriqya Arbitration Forum is committed to protecting and respecting your personal information.

1.2 This policy sets out the basis on which your personal information is collected by us, will be processed by us, and also sets out your rights in relation to that information.

1.3 Ifriqya Arbitration Forum is the data controller in respect of personal information provided to us.

2.1 We may collect and process information about you when you register for membership, participate in our events or when you subscribe to our newsletters.

3.1 The personal information that we process may include:

(a) basic information, such as your name (including name prefix or title), thecompany you work or, your title or position and your date of birth;

(b) contact information, such as your postal address(es), email address(es)and phone number(s);

(c) financial information, such as payment-related information formembership and events;

(d) technical information, such as information materials and communicationswe send to you electronically;

(e) information you provide to us for the purposes of attending our events;

(f) identification and background information provided by you or collectedas part of our registration process for membership and events;

(g) any personal information provided to us in the course of providingservices in relation to membership and events.

4.1 We might use information held about you in the following ways:

(a) In the provision of our services to you or to others;

(b) to notify you about changes to our services;

(c) to promote our services, including sending newsletters and details ofevents; and

(d) to provide and improve our website/online services, including auditingand monitoring its use

5.1 Your personal information will only be retained for as long as isreasonably necessary in the circumstances. Retention periods varydepending on the category of data.  For instance, if you register formembership but your membership is not activated within 2 weeks of yourregistration for whatever reason, we will delete your data.

6.1 Your information will not be disclosed to third parties outside of Ifriqya Arbitration Forum,except to trusted third parties in accordance with contractual agreements in place with them, including:

(a) our professional advisers and auditors; and

(b) third parties involved in hosting or organising events.

7.1 We may share e-mail addresses with third parties as necessary for themto perform certain services on our behalf, such as packaging, mailing anddelivering products and processing membership and event registrations andto respond to your service requests.  By submitting your personal data, youexpressly agree to this processing. We will take all steps reasonablynecessary to ensure that your personal data is treated securely and inaccordance with this privacy policy.

7.2 Payments made in connection with our online registration system will beprocessed via a third-party payment service provider. Please see theseparate terms and conditions of that provider for further terms (includingrelating to your personal data provided to that provider) that may apply toyou for use of that third-party payment service.

7.3 We implement commercially reasonable security measures to helpprotect against unauthorised access to or unauthorised alteration,disclosure, or destruction of data.  Unfortunately, the transmission ofinformation via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will doour best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security ofyour data transmitted to our site including via our online filing system; anytransmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your personal data,we will use strict procedures and security features to try to preventunauthorised access.

8.1 The European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation and otherapplicable data protection laws provide certain rights for data subjects.

8.2 These rights include the right to access, amend or delete your personalinformation or, in some circumstances, to restrict or object to the processingor your personal information.

8.3 You may also have the right to submit a complaint to the relevantsupervisory authority in your jurisdiction.

8.4 If you would like to request a copy of your data, or would like to takesteps to exercise your rights please contact us as set out below.

8.5 If the relevant legislation allows us to do so, we may refuse to provideaccess or may charge a fee for access, in which case we will provide reasonsfor our decision as required by law.
