  • Sami Houerbi embarked on his legal journey in 1992, honing his skills at esteemed French and German law firms in Munich and Paris.

  • Sami served as Deputy Counsel to the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), overseeing the management of numerous international arbitration proceedings.

  •  He assumed the role of Arbitration and ADR Director of the ICC International Court of Arbitration for the Mediterranean, Middle East, and Africa.

  • Since 2006, he has been actively engaged as Counsel and Arbitrator in ad hoc and institutional international arbitration cases under the ICC Rules, DIAC, ACIC, and CRCICA.

  • In 2008, he founded Houerbi Law firm, fostering a recognized expertise in business, energy, construction law, and international dispute resolution.

  • Sami contributed to publications on international arbitration, his most recent work includes the chapter on North Africa in “Wolters Kluwer – Arbitration in Africa: A Practitioner’s Guide.”

  • He holds prominent positions in various arbitration institutions, including a Court Member of the ICC (as of July 2024), a Court Member at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce International Arbitration Centre (LACIAC), a Board Member of the Tehran Regional Arbitration Center (TRAC), a Board Member of the African Arbitration Association (AfAA), and a Member of the  Advisory Committee of the GCC Commercial Arbitration Center.
