Cases included: disputes pertaining to the construction of a major international airport in a Middle Eastern country (Hochtief-CCC Joint Venture v. Lebanon), North American investors in the textile industry in an Arab country in ICSID proceedings (Ahmonseto, Inc. and others v. Egypt, ICSID Case No. ARB/02/15), the expropriation of a European investor’s rights in the hospitality sector of a Middle Eastern country (Wena Hotels Limited v. Egypt, ICSID Case No. ARB/98/4), the sale of defence-related equipment to an Asian nation and the expropriation of a US investor’s rights in a Middle Eastern country’s textile businesses (Champion Trading Company and Ameritrade International, Inc. v. Egypt, ICSID Case No. ARB/02/9).

Represented clients in negotiating and drafting various contracts in the oil & gas sector pertaining to a major gas field development project in the Gulf area (vessel hiring, casing, cementing, tubing, blow out contingency etc).
